Description
Insulated butt connectors with an adhesive-lined heat-shrink sleeve: crimp, then warm with a heat gun or lighter until the sleeve shrinks and the adhesive seals the joint. Blue = 16–14 AWG, which matches the 14 AWG switch leads and the 13 AWG extension cord closely enough for a sound crimp. You need a crimping tool (pliers work in a pinch, but a proper crimper makes a joint you can trust in a vehicle).
